Dead of Winter is an experience that can be accomplished only through the medium of tabletop games.
These tokens improve the gaming experience by making the locations where the noise was made more visible. The bright orange colored 3d tokens are much easier to see than the flat cardboard tokens. When playing, you can very easily pick out which locations run the risk of attracting more zombies. Be careful with those dice rolls! One two many zombies and you could be next!
